Atlas 02:49
Can we pretend that it's still 1945 And pick a book that makes the perfect, perfect point An old projector and a spotlight on your head It's tradition, but look what you did They passed exams, they come alive But look what you did He's just a kid He's out there and he can't control himself at all He took a pill to make him super, pseudo tall And you're entitled to your fun But look what you've done It doesn't pay to be brave But look what you did He's just a kid

11 Years 02:26
I fell into the nearest trap White knuckles and a Cadillac Eleven years since I made that call We never talk or hang at all Will I be judged by someone else When I grow old will I still be myself Or leave this behind me Nothing to remind me I sold you out What was that all about If not my face, look to attire This fabric frames the heart of a liar I smoothed it over, I'm calculated The smashing of mirrors, the music of the hated Can I be judged by someone else When I grow old will I still be myself Or leave this behind me Nothing to remind me I sold you out What was that all about Eleven years since we played that game It doesn't fade, it feels the same Eleven years since I made that call We never talk or hang at all

Turn our backs to the evening sun Save our eyes The waves have lungs and they're breathing now No surprise A circle of friends the bitter end It's a common pledge You'll remember me every time you re- turn to the waters edge Is this just a waste of time and breath and oh no all this Is this just a waste of breath oh no, all this time Is this just a race to death, oh, my love Cymbals of sunlight from above Burns the soul And the blade of fate that stole my love No control We said, If you're going out west Be safe and be smart We've got a lot hiding out there And you know what that means
4.
The distance between us I orbit your gravity And you're always feeling me Pushing the mercury I search for the color of your eyes In the light of the atmosphere I was under the darkest skies On the days before you appeared Light years will change us I'm talking binary symmetry And this girl is a mystery Just like the rings that encircle me The distance between us One by one stars fall The distance between us A view through the firewall I search for the color of your eyes In the light of the atmosphere I was under the darkest skies On the days before you appeared

about

Released by Party Cat Records May 1st, 2020. "Our Man Of Texture" is the first EP by the San Francisco based band Jon Telegraph. Dave Parker (Company Car), Dave Walker (Music For The Apocalypse), Neal J. Schlosser (Knightboat, Glorious), and Dave Phillips (Cables & Arms, Company Car) make up this high energy Grunge/Jazz/Desert Rock group. The members of Jon Telegraph have had a strong presence in the SF music scene dating back to 2006 when the band Company Car played The Noise Pop festival. Since then, members of Jon Telegraph have toured the west coast and played some of the best stages in the Bay Area including; Slim's, Bottom of the Hill, The Chapel, The Golden Bull, and many more. "Our Man of Texture" was painstakingly recorded at Jon Telegraph's rehearsal studio over the course 2 years. This EP represents a small percent of the music recorded during that time, and many more releases will be coming out in quick succession. This music is to be played at a loud volume.
